  1. I have a Panasonic DMR-E80H console DVD recorder. I was curious about this possibility... I have a few DVDRs that have multiple titles, each with multiple chapters, and, of course, the generic Panasonic DVD text menu. For the few that I want to make special, is it easy to simply rip the titles, create a new menu and burn a new DVDR on the computer? I have Vegas 5 and DVD Architect 2. My concern is I don't want to re-encode the material on the DVDRs and lose any quality. I just want to rip them somehow, flop them into Vegas "as is", add my menu(s) and let it burn with no new compression. So essentially I would just be making a copy but with a enhanced menu. Is this possible, and if so will my chapter markers from the original still be present in the copy? Thanks experts!

I do it almost daily with DVD's from my Philips DVD Recorder...+R's and +RW's.
Not too sure about Panasonic created DVD's though...I've seen some cursing about those discs.
I'm sure it can be done though.
