To the students in the audience...hows the new semester? Mine schedule is awful but I like the people in it so I guess its not that bad. I'm taking:
Embryology
Human physiology (w/ lab)
Organich Chem (w/out lab)
Regular chem lab
Math
Psychology and religion
I thought it would be cool to see what everyone else is doing.

Mine are ok.
I have psychology and Linux administration. We are at midterm. I have a 98 in psych and I think I have a B in Linux. -
Im not sure, I start tomorrow afternoon. I took a few years off and screwed my life up a bit so I'm..getting a late start at 22. I'm taking a math course and intro to journalism. Pre-Algebra just to get it out of the way (for some reason, everything in high school stuck..but this), and Intro to Journalism to see if that is the degree I want to go for. Should be interesting though...

Being a freshman in college, I seem to be liking this. -
I don't know what I am doing just now because I've hit this whisky with some mates (watching Shaun of the Dead) and SAMIS (the Bath Uni computer that sorts my life out) is down...
The Internet seems to be having a time of it just now - first VideoHelp then Bath...
I'll post up once I can access it.
I know there will be cell biology and insect biology involved... -
Although, I sit on the other side of the big desk....
My classes are fine.
2 - Geometry
2 - Integrated 1 ( Int. 1 & 2, are basically algebra 1 over 2 years)
2 - Algebra 2
All good classes, but then again the year is early. I know some of you may find this hard to believe but early in the year I'm a hardass, super strict. But I only have 2 kids who are delinquents and they are in seperate classes.
12 new teachers this year...and not a single hot onethat's bullshit!!! They need to put me in charge of the hiring process...
But don't let my 300 minutes of work a day fool you...oh wait......never mind, I guess I've been posting more on here during the day haven't I?....Ahhhh, the beauty of worksheets

Just another yera at the school of hard knocks here.....and lovin every minute of it.

My class at this time is LIFE......
makntraks
p.s. good luck to you all...In the theater of the mind...
It's always good to know where the exits are... -
Actually I work less than that.
Take into consideration that 300 minutes is 50 minutes per period for 6 periods. Now inside those periods I almost always give the last 15 minutes of class for the students to get started on their homework. If you consider that I have to take double attendance everyday....because our IT guy is the most computer illiterate SOB you have ever met....our school email for example....first he can't keep it running...then you have our email addresses...last name + first and middle initial....now how many people do you work with that you know their middle initial? Exactly, not exactly condusive to a productive work environment. Double attendance takes about 5 minutes.
So I actually only "work" about 30 minutes per class period...but for that 180 minutes I bust my ass
On a side note, in addition to finding enjoyment here at videohelp.com another source of enjoyment I get at work is messing with the IT guy. My computer use to be a G3...so I started using my own laptop. I go to him all the time with computer questions. Did you know if you are having trouble playing a Powerpoint document, the problem is probably your video card? Or my personal favorite..."you shouldn't need anymore than 32 MB of RAM to do anything on your computer."
He's a ******* idiot. But he did get me a 25 ft S-video cable! -

Sounds more like his parents are related...to each other.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore. -
Med School
1. Neuroanatomy (kicking my arse)
2. Head & Neck Gross Anatomy (Kinda cool)
Masters in Anatomy
3. Histology (Boring)
4. Embryology (Horrible Teacher)
5. Scientific Presentation (BS required garbage)
6. Forensic Pathology (Best part of my day) -
Got a mix this semester of classes:
1) Business Law:
Good class discussing mostly the civil side of law and how it relates to business.
2) eCommerce Infrastructure Management:
Alright class that teaches a technical overview of the things that need to be taken into account when managing a network.
3) Interactive Media:
Elective class I chose because I had some spare electives to use up before doing my finance major. Very artsy fartsy, alternate world compared to the normal business faculty environment I normally am in.
Learning to use Director MX which wouldn't be hard except for the fact you have to do all the work on macs.
4) Financial Management:
Deals with basic financial information before delving into the bond and share market.
By far the most boring class I'm taking this semester. I should start going to the lectures more because I botched the mid-semester exam. -
my classes for this semsester are
linear algebra
international economics
advanced accounting
calculus 1
i really only need advanced acct but i need the extra classes to make up 150hrs for the cpa exam, plus i need calculus for grad school. -
I don't know...his parents may be brothers...I'll have to check on that...
When he told me that about the RAM I just looked at him and shook my head. It is truely amazing...but no different than tech support, he just looks stuff up in a book. Guess what happens if you have system problems that he can't figure out...yep, you know it....reformat and reinstall. He had a coniption (CUN - ip - shun) when using that G3 I set my page file to 3x the amount of physical RAM.
He is an idiot, but he is a source of entertainment. -

Calculus - Ah the good ol' days....just me and Suzie (my calculator) running through the wide open coordinate plane, getting some TAN and finding slopes, stopping occasionally to figure volumes of revolution, we walked together even though she could derive....it was a changing time.
Derive....Derivative...rate of change....ya get it?
ok, my bad

Classes are going okay I guess. I'm in a Gender Communication class. It's the biggest load of crap! They hate me in that class, but I enjoy pissing the fembots in the class off
