  1. I saw another post about this but I could not make any sense of what was being said. Now I can't find the post to add this question.

    I have tried everything I know to get Passion of the Christ backed up with just the Latin audio and the English subtitles (like you normally watch it). All I ever end up with is just the Latin audio with no subtitles or the Latin audio and English narration but no subtitles. I would like to have the English subtitles but I don't want the English narration.

    If anyone has been successful in backing up this movie with just the Latin audio and English subtitles, I would appreciate your help. It's got to be something I'm doing wrong but I can't figure it out.

    Thanks!

    You cannot "get rid" of that from the backup as you have it now because the backup is wrong.
    From what you said I assume that you simply did not include the non-English audio which is the "normal" audio meant for this film.

    So, back-up again. When you come to the DVDShrink stage simply select the first 5.1 track (and only that if you do not need the hearing impaired track).
    DO NOT burn directly to DVD-R from Shrink (if this is what you usually do). Instead ouput the shrunk files to the HD and check the film using any software DVD player just to make sure you got the track needed. Then burn.

    This is why I never burn from Shrink. Sure it's an extra 2 steps (check then burn) but it does save DVD-R's.

    @Captain315

    You have not specified what kind of backup want to do: Full or Re-Author

    For the Re-Author case louv68 above is pointing to a very clear guide.

    For the Full case you can use this guide:
    http://www.dvd-guides.com/guides.php?category=dvdcopy&name=dvdshrink
    Please look at steps 3 and 4: This is where you select what audio and subtitles you are going to back up. Just be sure the ones you want to keep are checked.

    It can happen that for default (general Settings of Shrink) only the English audio and No subtitles are checked. By checking and un-checking in these steps you can overrule the defaults.

  4. FYI, Passion does not require compression and can be bbacked up as full OR using dvddecrypter.
