Installation of 0.0.9p fails repeatedly

Hello,

I have tried to install this version, by following the advice on how to do it, downloading the binaries etc.
Yet, as soon as I try to run the program again, it will ask me again to install the binaries.
There are no issue of permissions or whatever, so what is wrong?
This is not the first time I have re-installed the binaries, so it's not that I haven't understood how to do it.
What's the program actually looking for?

Anybody who might assist me with that?

How come that some files have the wrong permission, as I am now seeing, I cannot say. I probably best delete all and reinstall everything, I gather.

mplayer and mencoder seem to have a wrong size. Make sure you're installing the correct version.

As you can see the size hasn't changed, and I am downloading from the link ffmpegX provides, i.e.:

You should first decompress the ZIP file before installing the binaries inside it.

Thank you. That did it.
With so many Java installers which leave the stuff compressed, it was not easy to recall that this is definitely not the case with ffmpegX.
