  1. hey just want to knwo who the person was helping me wif converting a vcd file to a dvd file

    cause the post has dissapeared
    im guessing it got lost in the new update server?

    but
    its still in MPEG1 format
    dont dvds need to be in MPEG2?

    No. The spec allows for mpeg-1 on a DVD, and at a higher bitrate as well. Check out this page https://www.videohelp.com/dvd for details on whats in the spec.

    i dont need to demultiplex it or put it into d2v files

  8. If your authoring program will accept .mpg files then yes just drop them in there and that program will take care of the demuxing, re-muxing etc.

    You may run into problems becuase your MPEG's have a very strange header if I remember right, so the Authoring program may have just as much trouble as the other program we tried previous.

  9. well i use tmpenc authoring for my authoring

    i ende dup authoring it
    but not the mpeg fiel i did the d2v file


    i used the one tmpgenc created is that fine?
    or should i of used the one the dos one created
    cause the dos one was much bigger

    bout 200 mb bigger each cd

  10. What happens when you just drop the original MPEG file into TMPGEnc DVD Author? If you haven't tried it I stongly suggest that you do.

    If it doesn't allow this use the demuxed files. The m1v and mp2 file sizes when added together should approximatly equal the original file size. So with whatever program got these file sizes right.

    I'm updating my profile to include some more contact information so hopefully we can get this sorted.
