  1. Bought a Koss KS4190 at Best Buy and it states that it plays DVD, DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW, SVCD, CD, CD-R/RW, MP3 CD, WMA CD, JPEG (picture) CD

After getting it home and setting it up I tried a Memorex DVD+R disk and it comes up "uncompatible disk". Does any one know what DVD+R disk this DVD home theater system is capable of playing?

I then went to the Best Buy websit and seen it has this note:
Not all DVD-R/-RW/+R/+RW discs are compatible with all DVD-R/-RW/+R/+RW players. Contact the manufacturer for further compatibility information.

I did a search for Koss's website to get compatibility info and all I was able to get was KOSS website for headphones.

    Best Buy KOSS KS4190

Also if I decide to return this system anyone know of a system that will play DVD, DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW, SVCD, CD, CD-R/RW, MP3 CD, WMA CD, JPEG (picture) CD along this price range of $200 or less?

I did have a Phillips MX3950D and no problems playing DVD+R, except it got fried by lighting.

    Thanks in advance!

  2. I think the webpage you are trying to go to is:

    http://koss-av.com/

I have the same model I bought very cheap at Sears I think and I could play a DVD a friend of mine made so ... maybe it was the way or the software to create the DVD that doesnt allow your player to view the contents.

Have you tried it on another player?
