  1. Ok 1) 2 mpeg files 41000hz audio i split the audio and video using dvd2avi then using tmpgenc i take the audio and make it 48000hz 224 bitrate reload the new 48000 audio and video together using the PAL(dvd) SETTINGS which then give me a new mpeg ii file which is 48000hz with a bitrate of 384 only thing is that when i play it on powerdvd it comes out very out of synch.
2.)Also does it matter if i have the bitrate at say 192 when i change the audio to 48000 or does it have to be 224 what exactly does the bitrate do.

Were the two original mpeg files PAL or NTSC?

Bitrate is not all that important for software players. Desktop players may be less forgiving.

  3. 1. Were the audio and video in sync in the two original MPEG files?
    2. Did you want to merge the two smaller MPEG files into one large MPEG?
    3. If so, then you can use TMPGEnc's MPEG Tools to splice them together.
