What is the length of the warranty on the JVC DR-M10S? My manual doesn't seem to give a clear answer on this. In some places I have read that it is 90 days labor and 1 year parts. I was under the impression that mine was under warranty for just 90 days.
I have also seen on this site where they talk about a 3 year warranty. I have my doubts though.

Maybe when they say they are offering a 3 year warranty, I guess that would be as an extra extended plan for more money?
Does anyone know what the length is for sure. How much is JVC's extended warranty or does someone suggest another extended warranty plan that can be bought?
I have had the dreaded "Loading" message come up on mine also a few days a go. I finally unplugged it for a little and then re-plugged it in and have had no problems. I am worried with my own occurrence and many others I have read about that I might be in trouble without a longer warranty.
I am thinking about getting a service plan from Sam's Club if I am able to for it. I have a brochure and it sounds like they sell a 3 year service plan (and I think you get an extra year for being a Sam's member, so 4 years) for $39.95. This covers products between $150 - $499.99. I just have this brochure though, and have not actually seen this offered in the store.
Anyone have experience with Sam's plans or another service plan? I just wonder what the repair / replacement process might be like, if something did have to be done.
Thanks for any help with this.

The warranty is 90 days parts 1 year labor. The first one I used said so on the back page of the manual, the last 2 they forgot to print it or something. If you can get a warranty for that price I would jump all over it, I paid 100 for a five year warranty myself. I don't know about Sams Club, but I had a GE warranty on my Panasonic E20 and when it went bad and needed about the same amount in repairs as a new one they replaced it with the JVC. The bad part of that was that that ended that warranty after a little over 2 1/2 years on a five year warranty and I had to buy a new one on the JVC. This time I bought the recorder from a store that transfers the warranty to the replacement if it needs to be replaced, something worth looking into. I've always been very satisfied with Wal Mart's customer service, I'd think you would be safe with a warranty from them.
