I have a bunch of animes that I would love to put on DVDs but so far I'm pretty dissapointed with the quality after wasting like a week and 10 dvds trying to figure out how to deal with the overscan issue...
I encoded about 10 episodes to DVD at around 2300 bitrate and that was ok at first but i noticed when there was some fast movement on screen the video became extremely grainy but at slow moving scenes it was perfect...
I tried encoding 3 episodes to put on a single dvd just to see how it would do and found that it's PERFECT.... I think it was around 8000 bitrate...
Now my question is I can't waste anymore DVD or time testing and would like to know just how many episodes can I put on a single disc without it becoming grainy???
Oh yea i'm using Tmpgenc Xpress and Tmpgenc DVD Author...

I have 20 eps on 1 dvd. I used vcd bitrate of 1150 and am happy with the results. On anime you really only need about a average of 1800-2000 bitrate and anything more is a waste of space, but thats just my opinion.
