  1. Just upgraded from a Pioneer 107 to a new 108.Have had no problems burning from the harddrive to new 108 at 4,8,12 and tried 1 at 16 speed all played fine on standalone with RiDisc 4* Disks. But if i try to go disk to disk at faster than 4* they all turn into coasters after burning about 10%.They are set up right because it was a straight swap from 107 to 108.The Rom and 108 arnt on the same ide cable (1 primary-1 secondary).Ive even tried changing disks to 8speed but still wont burn faster than 4.
    Can anybody help.

  2. Well if they are 4x disks then burn them at 4x. My 108 burns 8x disks (datawrite fuji dye) at 8x no problems.
There is a list on pioneer site, i posted a link inanother 108 thread showing which brand's of disks will burn at the faster12 & 16X speeds....Its only a few and RiDisk isnt one of them.

Hi Maureen-----DVD Writers were not really designed to write DVDs on-the-fly....You will get errors every time.....You can not put a 7Gbt movie onto a Blank DVD....Rip the Movie with DVD Decryptor to your Hard disk, then use DVD Shrink to Re-Author, then burn with whatever progy U got...

If it is already a 4Gb/4.6gbt movie then use ISO Read to hard disk, then ISO write to Blank DVD useing Decryptor.....Good Luck..
