  1. I was using TMPEGENC to encode my avi files from slide show movie maker and files converted to avi by Stoik Video Converter. After my trial ran out I was going to buy TMPGENC but then I discovered that BBMPEG would do AVI2MPEG2. I just tried to convert a whole bunch of avis with it but all of them are bad. First off it says MPEG2 but the only output it does is mpeg-1. Is there any other good free program out there that will convert avi to mpeg 2 (dvd)?

  3. DVD2SVCD can also create the DVD compliant files for your favorite DVD burning software.

  4. ry dvd2svcd with quenc as the encoder, does avi to mpg2.
I had downloaded that & tried it. First I ran it with Quenc and didn't encode the audio, went fine but when I checked the output files in the VIDEO_TS folder, there were no files. Is there a way for it to create just avi to mpeg2 (dvd) files? I then tried with the audio conversion (the video file is only 10 seconds long by the way) and I started converting. It just sat there with BeSweet open forever trying to convert the audio. Is there any guides for using DVD2SVCD or is there anyway I can fix this so I can just get avi (with XVID PCM) to MPEG-2 d1 NTSC DVD Compliant?
