As you know, Rhapsody was based on OPENSTEP, which was based on NeXTStep. They both were ported to work on x86. For some reason Apple did the same with Rhapsody but put a stop to it after Developer Release 2.

His name was MackemX
What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend? -
I would have KILLED for a NeXT box back when I was in college.

It is a 14 inch monitor, but I usually just use the schools monitor.

I've heard of those.

I remember those too. I had one for years.

I take my system to school with me so I can do my computer labs. The it guy is a prick, and he made it to where we could not do our labs.

Gotta hate that.

Yeah. It defeats the purpose of going to school to learn network engineering if you cannot do what you are supposed to.

you're right. I did a quick edit. I got some 250s and 150s at the same time and I knew I had 300G in the comp. I just forgot I had it on 2 drives.

You can never have too much storage.

I have close too or maybe even more than a terra-byte of total storage on my home network.
"Terminated!" :firing: -
I have 1 machine with 4-200s and when I get more power and space I'll put my 250 in the same tower. Various other drives spread across 4 machines as well. I still want 4 400GB SATA drives, but no one is willing to pitch in.

I have a lot of storage space. The sad thing is I have HDD labeled and stacked like someone would stack DVD cases. I have 4 towers. NEON is hotswappable up to 8 drives at a time. It's pretty much just a storage tower. I have my system setup a certain way so it's extremely difficult to infect my best towers. When 'Steel' in on my LAN active, my internet connection is off. It never connects to the internet. Any software that runs on it has been run for a while on my other systems. Never had a virus or problem on it ever. That's the tower I'll usually burn DVDs on from a store bought (AKA Hollywood Rental) DVD...ahem...ahem...to be backed up.

I run NAV on all my systems. Don't think I've ever been infected. I keep all my defs up to date and all my PCs are behind the router. I still do reguarly scans just to be safe. About the only thing my servers connect for is virus defs and Window$ updates.

no, the dual 2.5 is $3000. dual 2.0 is $2500. if you BTO you can shave off about $130 more.

The only thing I want dual processors in is my server tower. I don't need them in anything else. I do have a strong Firewall and antivirus protection, but I still have my extreme added safety measure. I spent a bit of money getting it running and upgraded. I'm not about to let anyone screw with it. It runs FAST & SMOOTH! You can barely hear it humming. The only fan in it is for the power supply and I'm looking to updrade that too. I found a place to get liquid cooled blocks that fit my cooling system that can replace or be mounted with some power supply's existing heatsinks. However, I need to add GFI protection if I'm going to have liquid near 120VAC. Looks like it's time to upgrade my wall outlets.
