I recently updated my PC from DivX5.11 to DivX5.2

Since then, the VirtualDUB editing I do was slowed down from 35-40fps down to 4fps. The settings I use were the same.

Re-installing the previous version (5.11), restored speed back to the normal.

Has anyone else noticed v.5.2 to be much slower than 5.11?

    Rgds

On the contrary, I have found it to be much faster at encoding.
Takes a little while longer to load the dialog box compared to earlier versions.

    Many thanks for the feedback.

I will try 5.2 on another PC to see. Guess it's time for me to reload the "uncontaminated" system disk image I maintain.
