  1. I am newbie for video convert. my friend send me a SVCD MPEG file
    and he said it is ready to burn as a SVCD. but I found the screen need
    to crop 2 or 4 lines on the top. could you tell me how to crop the MPEG
    files and do not encode the file againg using TMPGENC? thanks.

    Pretty sure this can't be done, you'll have to re-encode.

  3. That's too bad. It will take a long time to reencode
    the file. Will the reencoding reduce the video quality?

    Yes it will decrease the quality. Why do you need to crop the top? Is it off center? If you play this on a hardware dvd player then the outer portions of the picture won't be visible anyway due to overscanning. I'd go ahead and just try burning it. Use a cdrw if you don't want to waste a blank.
