    Please avoid cross posting.
Be more specific. Which format is the dvd soundtrack, dolby digital, MPEG-2, LPCM?
Do you want to burn it as normal Audio-CD?

i guess i have to ask how to copy the soundtrack from a DVD first. The Windows Explorer shows no files or folder when a DVD is mounted. Yes, I'd like to burn it as normal audio CDs. The reason that I was asking this is i'd like to listen to some DVD movies i have while driving...

Copy the soundtrack to HD with the help of Smartripper. Go to the stream processing tab and check only the one track, that you want, select "demux to extra file".

Usually dvd sound is dolby digital, so you'll get a .ac3 file. Convert it to .wav with Azid, use Danni Din's Azid_LameGUI.

Audio-CD requires a 44,1kHz samplerate, that's why you have to downsample too. Download SSRC and use the azid_lameGUI once again, the default profile should be OK.

Since you can only fit 74 minutes of audio onto a 74min CD-R, you need to split the .wav file. Use CoolEdit or search the web for a freeware tool. I don't know, what is the best to do that.

Finally use your favorite burning software to burn the Audio-CD. Make sure, your car CD drive plays CD-R.
    Good luck.
