Everytime i start my computer a enternet explorer window opens up and in the adress bar come " http://clicks.spazbox.net/mt.html " this is very annoying, and was wondering if anyone knew what was going on and if they know how to stop it? anyways i checked msconfig, and nothing seems out-of-the-ordinary there.

    Thanks in advance

Download Spybot Search & Destroy from ZDNet download area. It is free and has excellent online updates every couple weeks. It seems to get all the nasty little bugs we get online

The new Ad-aware is nice also. Run it in Safemode for extra removal goodness.

  6. After the Spybot & Adaware scans (and get the new AdAwareSE - it finds more than 6.0 does) look for a file called asetup32.exe at the root of C:. If it's there, get rid of it. If that's still no good, DL "Hijack This" and post a log to a spyware forum like the one at www.spywarewarrior.com. There are several of these, and the experts there can tell you what you need to manually clear out of your registry.

Also, the freeware Spyware Guard & IE Spyad are good preventative measures in addition to those already mentioned.

Using Firefox or Opera IS a good idea, but you can likely fix this without doing that or a reinstall.
