    Megapixal usually doesn't play a large part in the video side of things, but is important if you want the camera to double for a still camera as well. Having said that, you are better to get a good video camera with no still feature, than an ok video camera that takes photos. You will always get better stills from a dedicated still camera.

    What's the event? Tri-pod and lights can be as important as the cam.
