Some days - particularly the "Some mornings it's just not chewing through the leather straps" days - I would be tempted to live somewhere like that tiny island, with nothing more intense to worry about than whether the light bulb will last the year out.

Then I realize how many things I'd have to do without - broadband (probably), close medical care should there be an emergency at home, the hassle of having to drive to the other end of the island in first gear, get in my boat, drive it to whatever port or dock, get out and hoof it up the hill for a pack of gum or a slurpee. That would quickly lose its appeal.

    Still ...there are days .....

I would love to live on that island. I don't have broadband anyway...but I'm pretty sure I don't need a car... ....I think a bicycle, 4 wheeler, or golf cart would be plenty of transportation. It only looks like about 200 meters.
(or "metres" or "metri" for flan )

    There's always satellite broadband.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.

I was reading and thinking "what would you need 200 meters for? that's a lot of gas supplies for one little island"

    Thanks for the clarification
