Viral1 I was transplanted to the south about 20 years ago. and since this is becoming the recipe exchange forum try this. Get a package of bun size Polish sausages (Bryan used to have some good ones but I can't find them right now), get a package of buns (Poppy seed if you want to be a pure-ist),pickle relish, celery salt, tiny sport peppers, mustard, onion, tomato and cucumber. Does this sound like what you are are craving?

    US: hot dog
    UK:banger?
    OZ
A US hot dog is usually beef and beef byproducts served for lunch, dinner or snacks. Not much in the way of spices but sometimes high in salt. The term sausage is usually used for pork products although a real hot dog or weinner in the US is made from whatever hits the butchers floor and is swept up, ground up and stuffed into a caseing. Often served with chili or cole slaw or saur kraut or many other toppings

That sounds pretty close. I could take a pass on the peppers myself.

I think Bangers is more like breakfast sausage in the UK, but I could be wrong (it happens).

I would rather eat a cooked dead bug than have a bug eat me alive!
I have worked in the food service industry. I know what is supposed to be and what it really is. Odds are that unless you are very young or very old or very frail you wont get sick or die from what you eat. But seeing some of the stuff that goes on will make you puke!

I thought it was more like 7 or 8 per year...

Edit: I know hot dogs are made of "lips and a**holes" and hooves and toes and tails and whatever "falls"...same as balogna (hot dogs in a different shape) and still could eat them all them time!!

Hell, if I can have my choice of spider to eat I want Alaskan King Crab! Snow crab is my second choice. Lobster if there is nothing else. Any good seafood on the other side of the pond? How about down under?
