I'm using my LG DVR 4810 as both a player and a standalone recorder. Any discs I record on it, the LG creates a nice simple menu after finalisation. Whenever I put one of these discs in for playback, the menu always shows. Any commercial DVD's, the menu's also show, no problem, but any discs I create on my PC, using TMPGEnc DVD Author, the LG will not display the menu.. I tend to keep it simple with just a text based menu, but after the disc is put in, the 'Reading' message comes on the front panel, closely followed by 'Disc Error' for a split second, then the disc begins on the first title. I can navigate through the chapters on the disc using the LG's menus but the actual disc menu simply will not display.
Thing is, when I play the discs on any other DVD player, or on my PC via Power DVD, the menus work perfectly.
It's almost certainly a player issue, I'm just wondering if there are any other owners of this machine having the same problems?

Aaaah, nothing like answering your own questions, is there??
I downloaded the trial version 1.6 of the program (I was using v1.5) and lo and behold, the menus show up when I play them on the LG..
I noticed on the TMPGEnc BBS that others with LG players were reporting the same problem, so I hope this might answer the question if anyone else is in this same boat
