  1. Hello!
I got my 106D last December and it was working fine for a couple of weeks, until it suddenly stopped working. Now, I can't remember why it quit on me, if it was cause I reinstalled XP or something, or if it just quit on me..

I've been awfully busy so I haven' t had the time to look into it until today, and I've tried everything I could think of. I reconnected the cables in the back, I reinstalled the drivers for the writer, I downloaded the XP service pack1 (as told by the guy in the shop where I bought the device).. But the problem remains:

The device is found, but it can't do anything, can't read or write either cds or dvds..

Does anyone have a solution? What might be wrong!??

I could really use some help here fellas and ladies!!!
    Thanks!

What drivers did you install? unless you have Win 3.1 as your OS anytime you install any CD-ROM or DVD-ROM (hardware) you don't install anything except software applications. Maybe uninstall anything driver-related that you installed will help.

  3. That can happen if you put ezcd 5 on your XP computer too.

  4. Ok, I'll try and uninstall everything related to the device, and just let it install itself then-
    Fingers crossed now.

    Thanks
