Ok Just brought a JVC HR-7800 svhs vcr, Why can't I use the Digital Tbc/NR & Video stabilizer at the same time. Is there something that I can do to make both of the work at the same time, or is there a Work around that works. Thanks For Any Advice

  2. The TBC and the Stabilizer are separate features on the JVC's that can't be operated at the same time. They perform a similar function in two different ways... which one to use depends on the source tape. Sometimes the Stabilizer method is better, but usually the TBC/DNR is the most effective. Neither defeats copy protection, however.

No. It is more complex than that, a limitation of how much can be done with a signal.

  5. I wouldn't think so. Those processing circuits are probably contained on a single IC chip. You shouldn't need to run both. If you have any very bad tapes that need strong timing correction (to avoid dropped frames during capture), you will have to invest in a standalone full frame TBC/Frame Sync.

Thanks Guys, I just thought it would be cool if I had the option of using both at any given time.
