  1. This post concerns the conversion of DVD --> .3GP (MPEG-4 Video/AMR Audio).

Just wondering how many people own a Nokia 6230 or similar phone and convert video to put on the phone.

My current method produces good video results but the audio is rubbish. I use Gordian Knot to put it to AVI then I feed it into QuickTime Pro 6.5, converting it to MPEG-4 with AMR audio. My phone won't accept AAC (music) audio setting, although this gives much better sound.

Does anyone else have a better way of doing it that will yield better sound, or does anyone know how to mux new audio into a .3GP container?

    Thanks,

    Cobra

Not a direct answer, but the Nokia phones with video playback i've seen have a version of real player incorporated. i used Helix Producer to create rm files compatible with it. at the time they needed to be Real video 7, the phone did not support Real video 8.
