I am having trouble ripping Hildalgo at the scene where Frank(Viggo Mortensen) talks Indian to the Indian scenes. Movie subtitles are suppose to pop up to translate, but when I did the whole rip with Gordian, those subtitles disappear.

How do I bring back those subtitles without having to effecting the movie, or having to fiddle with normal French, Spanish, English subtitles?

I just want the movie to play as original, but when the movie subtitles for those particular scenes pop up for translation, why did they disappear?

Please help. It will be appreciated. Thanks

  2. Do a search on here for forced subtitltes or Lord of the rings and subtitles.

This has been tackled a few times before especially for Lord of the Rings with the forced elvish subtitles.

i did a search as you suggested, but all that came up close was your post to my inquiry.

I tried following the Doom9.net force subtitles, but I keep getting "indexing failed" with VobSub when I tried extracting the subtitles. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I can't get past that stage.

    Any suggestions?

  4. Subtitles are not my thing. Check this thread out some ideas floating around in here. If you still can't do anything post back.

Are you backing up to an avi or to a disc?

    Backing them on Avi.

It seems I can't get past ripping subtitles in general. Anyone know which program is easiest and how to do rip subtitles once you see all the vob files in the list??

Espeically through Vobsub, do I drag any of the VobCells over to the left side? Only when I do this, does the "index" work. If I don't, Vobsub reads "indexing failure."

Ok I got the subtitles to work for the entire movie, however cutting them in VobSub cutter only allows me to leave subtitles for a specific area one time, not several places throughout the movie.

Anyone have any suggestions how I may go about creating several .idx, .sub files for forced subtitles to fit at the appropritae places in the movie. (I so far got it in 1 place, but don't know how to do it in multiple places wo/ renaming the .idx/sub files the same name and overwriting the filename).
