Wait nevermind, it has to be a tie between the great scary movie/comedy
    Evil Dead 2

and the epic known as the
    Seven Samurai

(both movies have been mentioned already, by those who know there stuff!)

PS The Cap'n (Jack Sparrow) is my avatar but the movie POTC is still not my fave :P

This is really a tough question... I'd say that for me it's almost a tie between "Snatch" and "Pulp Fiction"

    Many good choices above too...

Yes, that doesn't mean that a lot of us put those types of movies at the top of our list. Many of us put escapism or fantasy/comedy higher than the "classics". That doesn't make us "LOWBROWS", just regular people.

    Hello,

What was that (blurred vision, no hearing, stumbling)??? I just got shell shocked from watching Behind Enemy Lines in DTS. What a movie for surround sound (saw it in the theaters too, not a bad movie - have it on disc).

    Hello,
In behind enemy lines the two best scenes for DTS are the mine field explosions and the finalle with the helicopter rescue. Fabulous sound.

    Hello,

fritzi93 - No problem, - I also said nothing personal at the bottom of mine. I'm just reiterating our position of not including classic literature in a "best movie" post.

Yep as soon as I seen that I had to brush aside the classics and choose Miss Berkley.

BTW If you make Shakespeare into porn versions then its watchable
