  1. Hey, I have done a number of DVD authoring projects, all original source. I have a record label, and I have done DVDs for music videos we have produced and live concerts of bands on the label, including some multi-cam mixes. Also, have friends that make short films, and have worked with those.

    It seems there are a lot of people here doing backups and conversions of a number of sorts. Is there anyone else out there like me that is doing working with original source? I'd like to know because it seems we deal with different issues. We are working with top-quality original source material that has not been previously compressed (other than miniDV, perhaps), and trying to get the best quality out of DVD encoding and authoring. Different issues than transcoding.

    I do a little of both - about 30% of the stuff that I capture is my own work.

    getting ready to film some material tomorrow, in fact - convinced some of the counselors at my job that I could help them put together some instructional / introductory videos for their clients.
