  1. Does anyone know where I can find a guide to correctly set Video GOP and Video sequence header in TMPGEnc plus conversions. For both NTSC and Pal formats. What I need is a guide that explains the different Video GOP and Video Sequence header correctly for their format(NTSC and Pal), this would be great, thanks.

PAL max frames in a GOP: 15
NTSC max frames in a GOP: 18
    If in doubt, Google it.

  3. Thanks Jimalenko, but I know that settings very well. But then what happens if I change them to NTSC GOP 13 or PAL GOP 10???
    That's why I ask if there's a guide.
What about these settings if alter??
Number of I picture in GOP
Number of P picture in GOP
Number of B picture in GOP
What good does it do if I change the :
Output interval of sequence header to 3 or 4 ???

Where can I get such a guide??

  5. i got a question relate to tmpgenc GOP..

    i use the Tmpgenc 2.5

i have a serie it have 20 episode.. i convert 1-20(rmvb) to mpeg but episode 6 when i put in to the TMpgenc DVD Authoring it said the GOP

here is the message from TMPGENC DVD AUTHORING.

*The video GOP is too long.

The video GOP is too long.
For a standard DVD it is necessary that the GOP fulfill the following condition:

Max 36 fields (18 frames) (NTSC format only)
Max 30 fields (15 frames) (PAL format only)

i edited the Tmpgenc setting by setting the GOP to 18 and it converted to mpeg now it seem i can drag it without any problem.

  6. Aznmask; what is your question? It sounds like you solved your problem yourself.

Torex88; if you change GOP size bad things might happen -- it might not play on your DVD player, so on. There isn't any reason to change it.. just leave it alone and everything will be fine.
