Anyone hear heard of the scissor sisters? I just picked up their latest album and am glad I did. It is a sweet album.

I also got the Franz Ferdinand self titled album, it rules!!

The purpose of this thread is more on the rant side. I went out looking for 2 albums: The Eels - Daisies Of The Galaxy and FischerSpooner - #1. Both of these albums are kinda hard to find. And The Presidents of the United States of America just released a new album and they were turned down by Walmart. Why does Walmart only carry crap??

PS: after reading this thread it really follows no flow other than the way I thought of it. Stupid school has me going on no sleep and too much time to think

I thought PUSA broke up. I can't imagine what it takes to get turned down by Wal-Mart. I hate the fact that whenever I DO find something there I'd like to buy...it's editied. Heaven forbid our youth might get some wild ideas what to do with the guns the next aisle over. Rant aside, the last CD I actually bought and listened to (I have a couple I haven't taken time for yet; Josh Groban and Hoobastank) is Legion of Boom by The Crystal Method.

I like some Star Trek movies, but Nemesis blew! My favorite ST movie is First Contact.

    What music you into?

Well, I'm a huge 80's music junkie, I record as much New Age/World Music off satellite as I can get my hands on, and I collect soundtracks when money permits.

I liked Nemesis. I thought it was a good ending to the ST:TNG era.

Movies, damn near anything. Music, damn near anything but country.

    -------------

EDIT: Thinking about movies, mostly comedy, action and suspense / mystery, drama and the occasional horror flick.

Where do they get - Genre: Comedy / Drama / Romance

It was more crime/drama/suspense but extremely slow-paced and just plain dull.

  19. I thought that Star Trek: Nemesis was terrible... and it broke the even numbered movie rule (i.e., odd numbered movies are crap and even numbered ones are good).

All I have heard about the "Scissor Sisters" is that they did a up-tempo, electronicky version of Pink Floyd's "Comfortable Numb". It is enough to make me vomit- such blasphemy. Of course, you probably have never heard of the original song TGPO so it's new to you!

I do like PUSA. Their second album was the first I ever bought.

Sorry. I think just about everybody has heard of the original. But somehow I got the impression that you had really weird musical tastes. Like you exclude classic rock, metal and the like so Pink Floyd would not be your cup of tea. In other words, even if you heard the song before, it would be no big deal if it was covered because it's just some old shit. I am probably wrong about you though.

Anyway, we are both of the exact same generation so at least we both have fond memories of NICKELODEON.

This was the last CD I bought:

I bought it two months ago, though. It was the first album I bought. It was on cassette and I realized I didn't have it on CD. Really nice album. I still listen to it everyday.
