    Yup, though somehow I ended up with a copy of it that's Dolby Digital 5.1 (I got it used at the video rental store for about $8 )

    I have seen a lot of nice furniture in here. I'm still looking for a good TV cabinet or entertainment stand for my bedroom. No luck thus far.

    US / DTS 6.1 / Region 1 - 1 result.

    EDIT: If I just choose a country I get more results, some are discrete 6.1 I guess.

    Yes he does but I think he lives in Europe or someplace overseas so unless he wants to build something there and have it shipped over I don't see any other way. I may ask him anyway and see what happens.

    I got mine at Wal-Mart a year or two ago... they still have them there for about $150. Really great for the price.

    Here's my XM Radio install:

    Here's where I ran the RCA cables to my stereo via a PIE connector. Now if I want to run my mp3 player or anything else through my stereo I can just hook it up here.


    I ran a 12V DC Y-splitter through here. I connected it to the ground and accessory wires behind my stereo (that way my Roady2 turns on when I turn my car on and turns off when I take the keys out ). I've plugged my Roady2 into it and I can also have two other gadgets plugged in now if I want.

    Staying back on what this thread is about...home theater. What kinds of speakers are those Gummyavenger? Actually, post what kinds of speakers you have in these home theater pics. I'm interested. I need to post a new pic since my whole system has changed especially with the inclusion of my 30" LCD TV. Bedroom setup BTW.

    ONLY THE EXTENDED EDITIONS are DTS

    The theatrical cuts are DOLBY ONLY because the movie is on one disc and they are 3 hours each....

    The EXTENDED EDITIONS - of which I have all three Are two discs for the movie with 4 commentary tracks in ADDITION to the DOLBY 5.1 and DTS

    I picked up a boxed set of Yamaha speakers in December... same speakers as this, but it didn't come with a receiver:

    The center chanel, subwoofer, and rear speakers are from that package. I gave the front left and right speakers to my dad because I already have some that are better.

    My front speakers are Sony SS-MF515 speakers. I got them about 5 years ago and they still sound great and can blow you away

    Yeah I just bought new Sony front speakers because the pair was rated so highly in Consumer Reports. Couldn't pass them up and they also blow you away. Makes my little rear satellite speakers seem really cheap when compared so I think I'm going to buy another pair for my rears. That should really sound sweet.

    Someday I'm going to buy a 100 watt SUB instead of my 50 watt SONY sub.....

    Though my SONY DIGITAL AMP is only 80 watts.... But it serves me well

    BUT the 50 watt kicks it out pretty well on wood floors over a basement

    I haven't even used a sub in my bedroom setup yet because the front speakers really are already loud. I'm afraid if I throw a sub in the mix I might break something.

    Yeah just use the REDIRECT BASS option and you'll be fine.

    That's what I did before I bought my sub. I had the 5 speakers from my PRO LOGIC set up before I bought the DIGITAL recevier. So I simply told it to REDIRECT BASS to the main speakers. Worked GREAT. Then I finally bought a modest 50 watt SONY SUB

    I've had it for about two years now I think... Love it but could always use MORE POWER!

    Too cheap to buy an in dash player. Though from time I hook up the CASSETTE ADAPTER for my MP3 CD PLAYER :P :P :P
