if its any consolation.
I am using stuffit 7.02 on Mac OS X 10.3.5,
and the installer downloads through safari and loads fine."Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."

When I'm not here, Where can I be found?

Click This one which I extracted, verified and then OSX archived
This is 1.40 which worked for me.
Just a thought.... If you have serial problems [ie pirated serials] you will get a message telling you how pirated software will stop development of the app etc etc etc.
I wonder if those who have problems have older pirated numbers the company is aware of?!?! -
Look,
This is a useful app for me. As that I bought it many moons ago. I dont get the "pirated software" screen -- the bundle wont even open --- crashes on impact!!!

From some of the other forums, there seems to be a problem with Stuffit 8.0.2. Try re-sownloading Stuffit, and restarting your machine after installation. It seems something is getting corrupted during extraction from the .sit archive. If all else fails I can send you a gzip cersion of 1.4.1
-
From the errors you posted, it looks like it's still not compatible with 10.2.x. Are you sure you're using the 1.4.1 build? Can anyone confirm or deny compatibility with 10.2.x?
I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté." -

Ok I trashed all that was in the Stuffit folder and d/l a new .sit

Man-oh-man, I meant to say that you should restart after getting the new stuffit. You should also probably try repairing permissions while you are at it. All the problems are with 10.2.x and I would make sure you have the latest compiled versions of both Stuffit and DTOX.

I have tried all that.... The issue seems that it is incompatable with 10.2.8
May be they will put another update??
