  1. How do I burn mpg files? I've copied to the hard drive using Womble, but can't do anything with them now. Do I have to author, if so what should I use? I'm trying to use Nero, but it won't recognize files. Is there anything on the subject here? I can't find anything.

  3. That's where I've been looking, can't find anything. Everything I've tried says illegal file or something to that effect.

If you are trying to burn a dvd, then yes the files have to be authored.

    Try using TmpgDvd author

  7. Trying to burn them to DVD-R to play on a standalone. Everything I try to use says illegal file or something like that. They are from DVD-RAM recorded on a standalone with the VBR on. Is the VBR the problem? The recordings are old and it is too late to do anything about the VBR now.

  9. I'm new to this and don't know what anyone needs to know. I've been trying to get from RAM to DVD-R for 5 days now. I actually burned 1 disc, but when it got to the standalone edit point the audio went off by 4 seconds or so.
