  1. Just wondering if anyone has run across this problem. When I have my computer connected through my router if i leave the computer idle for awhile and I can't get IE to connect to pages. If I restart the computer everything works ok until i leave the computer idle again. If I hook the computer directly to the modem the computer can idle for hours and will still connect no problem. I'm win xp sp 1. I have a d-link wired router.
Thanks in advance for any help.

If I were you, I would reexamine your router settings.

There's usually a 'keep alive' setting. Your router may be set to 'connect as needed.'
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.

  4. You could try using an alternate browser like firefox (www.mozilla.org), because of all the flaws in IE. That may not be the problem at all but its worth a try.
