I recently posted in the Audio sectio about a problem I was having with ripped vob files not syncing to their AC3 audio. I have now discovered that the problem is not the audio, but that the video is playing to fast. I am using VirtuaDub-MPEG2 1.5.10, but have only had this problem with a few vob files. The problem is that they play the video to fast, so the audio never syncs up.

I am using SmartRipper 2.41 to extract the vob files from DVD.

When I parse one of the problem files, this is the video information.

Frame size, fps (us per frame): 720x480, 29.970 fps (33367us)
Aspect ratio information: DAR=2 (4:3) Television
# of frames (time): 13094 (7:16)
Number of I, P, and B frames: 1161/3493/8440
I-frame min/avg/max/total frame size: 19352/66990/125952 (75953K)
