So far 8 people have voted to close the OT forum. But the posts in this thread only seem to be from people who want it to keep going.

It would be interesting to see why the people who want it closed voted so.

Part of the OT "way" is, in my opinion, the fact that one can express any opinion (as long as it conforms to the forum rules) and nobody will rip their head off for it.

So there's nothing to loose by saying "I don't like it because...".

I voted to keep it open. If it wasn't for OT I wouldn't be here as often. When I'm on, I'm updating what medias work in which players using what types of software.

Not much has changed really. She knows about my sense of humor, my jokes, my bad puns. And she hasn't poisoned me yet.

It wouldn't take much arm-waving to defend anything I've said here as "internet bravado"

I think it's a little of several different things. Here's my short take:

Stagnation

Boredom

Back to school and change of people's schedules

Cobra's and my appointment as moderators. Frustration from those who either think Baldrick chose unwisely, or felt they deserved it more, or both

Negative feedback from outside sources condemning the language and topic matter here as being unprofessional for such a well-respected board

I think school is a big part of it because it was a little slow last spring and it picked up heavily once schools were out. Now it's heading back to the light phase again.

i didnt take the original post as a debate just a ? and thats fine.. but it looks like its turning into a debate somewhat.. thats my reason for the post.

That would be asking people to make their own choices as well as being held responsible for them. We can't have that. The world will be a much better place when people can be straightforward enough to admit what they did was wrong and let us know who's to blame.
