I Edited the templates on Multimedia Center 7.1 to capture VCDs directly from S-Video input.

    I Captured Star Wars Episode I & Shrek to VCD 2.0 1150kb/s.

They look great, the problem here is that I can't cut them, to fit it in 2 80min cds, actually I can cut them, the problem is that the second half ends up out of Sync.
    I tried VCDCutter & TMPEG.

I Used to make VCD with smart ripper and flask, and VCDCutter was great cutting those VCDs.

But now that I'm triying to cut down processing time, my resulting files are not working.

    PLEASE HELP !

Excuse my english I'm from Chihuahua, Mex.

  2. man, you got good english, just remember- triying is trying
Lots of people who learn english type it very well here.

    Ok, here we go-
    ShiZZZoN-

when you cut your mpg into 2 with tmpgenc, you say the 2nd file is out of sync. make sure that the stream type set in tmpgenc in the merge and cut tab is mpeg-1 vcd standard.

Next, if it is still out of sync, import that file in tmpgenc and reencode it with same settings

    Thanx for the answer.

I know about the settings I use VCD Standard for VCDs and VCD non standard for xVCD, and it gets out of sync and more with the xVCD.
I'm gonna try to reencode it using TMPEG, but isn't reencoding bad, I think it will lose quality.

Since, I'm trying to make the best VCD or XVCD possible.

    I'll appreciate your help.

  4. hey, do NOT use vcd non standard to make xvcds, use MPEG-1 system (automatic), thats what people who get my calc or use my CatX equation should be using as well. It is used to calculate using the mpeg-1 system(automatic) stream. that stream is the smallest xvcd you can make
