    I need a hack to make this recorder regionfree so I can play my region1 and region3 discs. The one in the DVD hacks list does not work.

    If this is your first Philips 75....buy a cheap DVD player instead. Your Philips will last longer NOT playing commercial DVD's and most likely the cheap DVD player you buy will be a better "player" anyway.
