  1. I have a movie which I have been trying to encode/burn to dvd.

It is an .avi, plays perfectly on my pc, so I read your guide about encoding it ready for burning. I heard "good" things about WinAVI, so I used that to get all the VOB files etc. Very quick, very uncomplicated.

Now, when I play it in my standalone dvd player, every 10 or 15 seconds, the video and audio stop starts for a little while then goes back to ok, then does the stoppy starty thing again .....

Please help - Ive wasted loads of cd-rs (when trying to encode it to vcd format) and don't want to waste a load of dvd's doing the same!

If anyone can help I'd be really grateful.

    Ian
