  1. I have an NTSC DV source that I want to put on a DVD. I don't want to modify the AR. I just want it to fill a normal AR TV. I accept the overscan as being normal.

    Using the wizard it picks:

    4:3 525-line (NTSC, 704x480)

Is this the right for my purposes? Given the source is DV (720)?

  2. To answer my own question. Yes. I read on the TMPGENC forums that this is what you want to use.

So use 4:3 525-line (NTSC, 704x480) for NTSC DV source. Also, in the arrange list use full screen.

  3. I always use Full Screen(Keep aspect Ratio).
Think thats what I was told a while back.

  4. I have worked strictly with 740x480 DV source. TMPGENC always seems to default to 704x480. I switch it to what I know is the correct source. However, I have forgotten to do this on a number of occassions, and saw no difference in the output. I think the key with this setting is the aspect ratio 4:3, not the actual pixel values. Both have the correct aspect ratio and it seems to work fine.
