I posted this in the newbie forum a while ago but it didn't get a response. My header was a little screwey anyway.
The deal is, I bought both the old and then new Nighthawks DVDs. Problem is, the new, anamophic one has an altered soundtrack ... which sucks. So I want to make a backup with the NEWER discs 16:9 video and menus, etc ... but with the OLD versions original soundtrack.
What is the easiest way to do this?
I saw DVDMaestro info and stuff about demuxing and remuxing with another prog ... but, well, I'm getting confused. What's the easiest way to do this?
Thanks,
Matt

I'm not sure there is a really easy way to do that. You could get the video into a MPEG format and combine it with the new audio in an authoring application. You would have to be absolutely sure that the audio is the same length as the original to prevent sync problems. Not good odds on that.
For the menus, you are on your own. -
An NLE may be needed.

first use dvd decriptor and than use dvd2avi to demux the audio. As stated before if the audio tracks are the same length then you can probably do this and there are ways to do this but first you need to verify that the audio tracks are the same length (also stated that this is highly unlikely).
