  1. Ok i have a xp athlon+3000,GeForce 4 MMX 64mb,180GB,512mb2700DR. My windows explorer keeps crashing everytime i get some certain types of video files. Ok i tried a solution of setting view to details because supposebly it had to do with the preview that it showed with thumbnails. Well that works but then it keeps switching it back to thumbnail. Also those files that cause the error will freeze midway during play in Windows Media Player but not in Divx Player why does this happen??Oh yeah sorry for kinda double posting. by the way i dont have SP2.

It sounds like a corrupted file.

  4. IE and Media explorer are tied into to the OS very deeply... as such try to use another media viewer to test these sources. If they play ok then some settings / files within your OS could possibly be corrupt.
