Last 1% not analysing

Hi Guys.
Movie analyses in Shrink till 99%, sometimes ticks over to 100%, then BANG ! "cyclic redunduncy error" ! And this is after the end credits. Bad chip mark right the on rim of the disc.
Tried Decrypter, and similar error. Last couple of files...error. Is there any way to stop the analysing phase at the 98%, or just after the credits ? Or does it have to complete the full 100% analysing before proceeding ?

Ok, I solved it.
In Decrypter, I ripped in ISO mode. When I got to the error bit, at about 98%, and got asked "abort" ? , I aborted, the incomplete files were left as were on the HDD. I then recorded the DVD, only able to via Decrypter, and the result was a playable movie. I don't really understand why it worked, but it did. Further input welcome !
