While installing PowerDVD SE I've received a prompt telling me that it has already detected a DVD Codec installed and that I should uninstall it before continuing.
The only problem here is that I've tried different software DVD Players and various codecs and etc. and don't know HOW to locate "said" codec to uninstall. What are the magic extensions to look for? Are there specific dirs I should be looking for?
I've been encoding/ripping/editing/making all types of movies for years find myself now stumped. Thanks for your help!

Hello,
Not entirely sure but try gspot and see what codecs you have installed (I think virtualdub would also work). Look for mpeg2 or dvd codec or some variant like that. I believe in windows if you go to control panel look up video or something like that. There should be a way to remove it.
