I'm kind of sitting on the fence, bit does it seem like the OT forum is in decline? Nothing against Capmaster and I'm certainly not saying that there has been a significant decline recently, but it just does not seem the same.
It's kind of lost it's edge -- which is something that I thoroughly enjoyed in the past. Indo and Northcat seem to post less frequesntly and the froum seems more cliqueish (sp?). The personalities that once gave this forum it's "brashness" seems to have diminished. I know that folks come and go and the forums exhibit an ebb and flow, but it seems like the tide may be going turning on this forum at this time.
Is it just me? Are my expectations too high? Am I just over analyzing?
Cast your vote in the poll. I'll give it some more thought and vote later.

Several members who defined the OT when I started here are no longer around much - Will Hay, Jeex, too many. And ...Teegee, of course
I dug up a thread from when the OT had more class. This is one of my favorite Ot threads. Check out all the people in that thread who are no longer aroundThis thread had a lot of class, was interesting, and many people participated - not just a few ultra post-whores
https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=205899&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
And ....this thread has posts I made with my original user name, and as "Capmaster". See if you can spot my original handle
I think I'll bump it and get it going againIn fact, in the interest of getting the OT out of the doldrums, I think I'll go back to the earlier days and find some interesting threads that have been forgotten. Maybe we can inject some new enthusiasm into the OT.

I really wish I could be more involved. I just don't have the time though between work, kids, etc....

Hello,
NO! I finally got here a couple of weeks ago! It's just picking up!

There are occassonial days were the volume is a tad light... then there are days (yesterday for example) when the posting just doesn't stop. (That does cause a production decline here at work however)

Relax Ripper, it goes in cycles. Maintaining those high expectations are nearly impossible...it will pick up. -

Northcat is the reigning lord and master of Photoshop, IMHO. But there are several here who are more than competent enough to do a poster. Northcat has been busy lately with Enquirer chops (feels the hysterical laughter coming again while glancing at the dye sub 8x10 print of that particular gem hanging on the wall next to the PC), logos, t-shirt designs, etc.

And Sorry you can't really get there from here anymore, if don't already know about it, don't ask ('cause I won't tell you).Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they? -

There are always tons of lurkers on this site, just waiting for that one shining moment that they can bust out the greatest OT post/thread of their lives...or at least get up the balls to try to join the soiree.
But I agree, you jackasses are seriously slacking as of late. How am i supposed to kill time at work when there is nothing good to read. Get with the program. -
This one was from early 2003 (long before I started posting here) -

Soooo...some of you guys can't take all the credit for corrupting the OT forum :P
I don't have time (or is that make the time) to read all the threads but try to keep up with many.
I don't always respond to 'em, but there've been quite a few entertaining posts. -
