  1. Hey,

Im gonna be buying a new monitor soon, so I need some advice.

I have a 19" iiyama monitor at the moment...

The flat screens look pretty expensive, so I thought maybe a 21" normal monitor?

Where can I find monitors at good prices? and I prosume some monitors give better quality than others?

    Thanks in advance.

I was about to say Best Buy, but I don't know if you have those in Scotland. My advice is to NOT buy it online, although at the size you want, I don't think you were considering that anyway. When you buy online, you are pretty much stuck with the thing since even sending it back for a refund costs a fortune and is a huge hassle. I know this from experience. Plus shipping a monitor costs a lot. Just check NewEgg. Although they are usually a good store, their CRT prices suck compared to brick and mortar stores.

I recently got a MAG" inch CRT monitor for $100 after MIR at Best Buy. The same monitor online costs WAY more.

Of course, this is all if you don't find an amazing deal. Some people on this board say you can buy refurbished corporate CRTs very cheap right now online.

Anyway, any non-noname 21" CRT should be fine. LCD's are for pussies.

I've got two 19" Mag 986FSs side by side on my desk (love em).
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.
