My son installed it and like most people I've heard from on some forums there is conflicts galore. My son's computer nolonger works with our home network and he was unable to go online.

We tried everything and the problem was never corrected even after speaking to some network adminstrators I know. So I reformated his disk and reinstalled windows XP and he is working fine now. I will not put Sp2 on any computer in my house. 8)

I wonder how many people try uninstalling SP2 or rolling back with System Restore before they declare WAR (Wipe And Reload) on their system.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.

It should have been called disservice pack 2, not service pack 2.

Installed it on a fresh install of XP with Sp1 on it. No issues at all. Wireless PC on my home network.

Put it on my main PC with all my apps. Works perfectly. No issues at all. First thing is to shut off the firewall and disable the Security Control Center service.

Looks pretty painless adn smooth so far.
