I don't mean to sound patronising, but we aren't your personal helpdesk, and contrary to popular opinon, can't see your screen from here. The more information you can provide to us, the quicker we can tell you how to fix it. Try putting as much information is your first post as possible - dribs and drabs along the way make it nigh on impossible to accurately figure out what's going on.
Head up, I'm sure you'll fix it in the end.If in doubt, Google it. -
ok, well, my soundcard is attatched along with my motherboard, and the monitor, sound, keyboard and mouse ports are all on one chip, so how do i actually reinstall my soundcard?
----> adamf9898 ----> -
So it is a PCI soundcard (the plugs are in a separate area on the back of your PC and not in the same section as monitor etc)?
Preferably you should have a driver disc that came with the PC. If not, you need to identify the make and model of it and then try www.driverguide.com.
It still doesn't make any sense though that your MP3s still play - If there was something wrong specifically with the soundcard then no sound would work at all. Can you post a screen dump of the device manager screen ?If in doubt, Google it. -
well, it doesn't seem like i can upload the pic, and it was .jpg and under 50kb, but i will email the pic to you
so what do i need to do?----> adamf9898 ----> -
ok, i guess i will just have to take my pc to the shop
