  1. Hello all,

I've been making DVDs and VCDs for a while, but I'm still noob in some ways..

I have a bunch of AVI files I want to put on a VCD. Usually, with all my codecs installed properly, I have no trouble. I wash the AVI through the project settings that I already have in Tmpgenc and make an .MPG and then burn to the VCD. No trouble.

I have a series in AVI format tho, that is giving me a LOT of trouble. I believe, as the DivX playa reports this, that they are in DIVX video compression format and MP3@128 audio compression format.

When I encode them in MPG, there is no video., and when I "stop" I get "pointer error."

VirtualDub, VirtualDubMod both have problems with these files. I've washed them through DivFix and DivRepair, they will barf in VirtualDub and VirtualDubMod.

I have DIVX installed, XVID and MPEG-4. Does anybody have any idea how to convert these? We're all stumped..

    Thanks in advance,
    -LL2

    Gspot say:
Video codec: DIVX/XVID DIVX4 - codecs are installed

Audio codec: 0x0055 MPEG-1 Layer 3 - codecs are installed

Container: OpenDML (AVI v2.0) Interleave 1 vid frame (42 ms) preload=480 Audio frames: aligned on interleaves
    File length correct

It also says: User Data/MetaData VirtualDubMod build 1155
    release
