I have a Fuji DVD-RW which I used in the JVC once or twice.
I set aside and haven't done anything to it.

Today when I tried to play it in both the JVC and my PC's DVD drive, it wouldn't play.

Is there anyway I can rescue the data that is on the disK?

I don't understand how it can go bad like this. I only used it twice at most. It's a Fuji made by TY.

Can anyone shed any light on what happened?

  4. I believe before it can be red in your pc you will need to close the session on the standalone.

I am sorry I cannot offer anymore information on the standalone side as I do not have one.

I did finalize the DVD-RW. It worked before, and now it doesn't.

I'm just really surprised 1 out of 4-5 DVD-RW has gone bad like this.

Thank goodness I bought a 120GB hard drive as back up.

  7. This happened to a TDK -RW recorded in -Video mode on my Pioneer. It has only happened once. The Pioneer "couldn't" format it, so I took it to my Sony +- writer on the PC, did a full format, and it has worked great ever since. Maybe I had a spec of dust in just the wrong place..

  11. I use Sonic's Record Now DX. It came with both my Liteon 411s and Sony burners. They don't seem to have a demo.

You could always go to www.nero.com and download Nero 6 Ultra Edition. That will have similar (and better) control over burning. I believe it's a 30 day trial, with the option to register.

Nero is the de-fact-o standard. Give it a whirl.
