Programe stops or cannot convert any ideas

ive come across a couple of films lately where the Programe doesnt stop as though it cannot process the files But just doesnt finish editing .. it produces the mpeg files from the bins but just sticks on demuxing . at first I thought it was being temp but it has happened again on a comp difff film ...

When I ripped the mpegs out of the bin file (I thought id try a diff method just to make sure) when trying to join the 2 mpegs together tmpeg came up saying that there was no recognised audio file in either of the mpegs but they played with no problems through WMP and Winamp so whats the score is it something specifical linked to these 2 films ie the mpegs or is it a fault in the programe itself ... I must say that I have done hundreds of films using this programe and it is the mutts nutts


on another note is it worth upgrading to the latest rls ? Im using the adage if it aint broke dont fix it but u never know

your comments or advice would be appreciated

Sounds like there is something wrong with those mpegs. Probably have to re-encode them over in tempeg if possible. There is a sticky thread about some fix using womble without have to reencode to fix sync problems with audio. But it sounds like there is something wrong with the mpeg file. If tempeg does not let you reecode since it does not recognize any audio file then there is something wacked out on those files.. I would imagine.

I just registered and am using the lastest SVCD2DVD v1.51.20 and it seems very stable. Chrissyboy says he only supports the lastest build. I would advise to upgrade at any rate. I think this program gets better with each build. I have made about 5 movies with only one that was out of sync... and that was not SVCD2dvd's fault.

Just because it plays in MP does not mean anything. The audio track may be in another format. I believe I read that svcd2dvd does not support AC3 sound yet. My guess is that the only chance you will have to build those into dvdmpegs is to find some app that will re-encode those files.. a time consuming process.
