Hello all. I recently ran into an odd problem with Premiere and was wondering if anyone else has had it... I was just throwing together a quick slideshow from my recent trip, but my photos wouldn't import into the bins. Normally I have no problems but it seems every time I tried, premiere would just lock up. Seeing as some images needed some work, I fixed them up then saved them around 720x540 range, and it worked.

Now my old camera was a 1.3MP, and I never had problems like this. My new one is a 3.2. It is not the computer or something not installed because I also have premiere on my lappy and it did the exact same thing. I doubt it was still loading the pics because when I opened the saved ones, they poped up instantly. Before, it would sit there loading indefinetly(left it for a couple minutes)

Anyone else have this problem before?

  2. Premiere 6.5 should not be having these problems. Only Premiere Pro imports the pictures "as is" In Premiere 6.5, make sure that you have enabled 'Maintain Aspect Ratio' That might do it.

*sigh* This is why I never come here anymore because people NEVER READ INTO MY PROBLEMS! Ugh, sorry, maybe I was just not clear enough but it bugs me when I need help and people always just tell me what I know...

The images won't even import into the bins, it just sits there with the little countdown cursor untill I finally force it to close.

The optimal size for images is 640x480 for Premiere, and then the optimal format is uncompressed, either TIF or BMP. No JPEGs.
